And to think that, at some point, Oreos were part of my life.
Esto está buenísimo porque "La web" se encarga de guardar las cosas que uno piensa. No gasta espacio en mi ordenador... Ni en mi cabeza.
I wish
I wish I had such clear objectives about what I'd like to do with my new-found time
I wish I had a hobby
Or like Hugo Sanchez did, I wish I had two jobs I loved
So that no one could ever tell which one was my hobby and which my job
Like when I couldn't believe playing Soccer was something you'd do for money and not for fun
I do not wish to know what the future holds
Yet, I wish there was a way of knowing what to do now which would prepare me for it well enough
and not end up having to write a dull paper for a masters which seems to be no help at all...
The New cool
Here, I will write a post about what being cool was, and I is, as and will be.
But right now I'm reading and I'm typing on the cellphone and God knows that ain't the right way to be writing a blog entry.
I just wanted to leave this as a reminder.
Inner struggle
Or is that just a privilege rich folks have?
I wish I could explain how bad I want to start over.
“But if less is more, how you keeping score?”
I feel guilty to be starting from the top.
Because according to Eddie Vedder...
I can’t do that.
Last night new puppy
This is not the blog post which was meant to be the best blog post.
That can wait.
What can't wait though, is how I've lost all faith in humanity.
I've lost all faith in humanity not because anything bad happened today. It didn't. In fact it's been one of the best days I can remember.
But
My neighbors have just gotten a new puppy.
And there's nothing wrong about that per se.
I don't know my neighbors. I don't know if they will be good pet owners or not.
Except...
I can't help but assume they won't be.
Because I'd rather be pleasantly supervised than cruelly disappointed.
And, the most interesting thing about this is...
I'm leaving this house tomorrow.
I'm leaving it for good.
This is the last night I will ever sleep here.
Are they good owners?
I will never find out.
The thing is... whether I stayed here or moved thousands of miles away...
The answer to my question would remain the same.
The best blog entry
It will be the best ever
It will be about my country, and democracy and going paperless
About going plasticless and eating no meat
About added sugar and the importance of family
About gender or no gender because apparently it should be the same
and how drugs should be legalized but then again maybe not really
About being hardworking and practicing mindfulness and meditation
About self confidence and health and making choices
and how defending the importance of languages goes against teaching them
and the reasons why you have to study a masters even if you don't want to
or how you should want to want it
And buying less and reflecting more
because less is more but more is not less
abour soccer and avocados
and moving to a new country and coconut oil
about dinosaurs and animals which have not gone extinct yet
and cars and roads and taxes and the planet of the apes
about eating every four hours without being socially awkward
My next blog will have to be about ALL OF THAT
together
And when I write it, I will finally have mastered the art of untangling the "unintanglable"
I will be enlightened like the scientologists must feel
but without the scientology
I will finally understand that everything IS connected the same way those blue guys from Avatar connected to trees and dragonlike creatures with their braids
but without the braids
Maybe then I will suddently become non-human.
I will turn into smoke or a kind of purple gas that has no smell but does look pretty
for at least 25 seconds.
Of maybe I'll become that pigment they they throw at each other at the Holi festival.
Maybe that's what pigments are made of
maybe that's why we / they throw it at each other...
as a way of saying "Here! Be like these purple people we've gathered here! They found enlightment! Now you find it!"
It will be the best blog entry ever.
Just you wait.
Home
Today, after having spent the weekend at my mom's house, I came back to our house in Puebla and, as I was about to open the door, I prepared myself to embrace that woody aroma the house always gets after being with all the windows closed for two days...
It was then that I realized it would be the last time I'd smell it.
I know that we will have a new house
And that it will probably have a nice smell too
I just wish I could preserve the feeling of this one the same way you can save a picture or a recording...
But perhaps, if we could save smells and have access to them whenever we wanted... they would lose that magical quality of theirs... Which allows you to re-live a whole period of your life in an instant
Just by breathing.
